The farm
Our farm is situated at just a five-minutes-walk from the centre and market community of Kastelruth. Kastelruth lies at 1,100 m on a high plateau above the Eisacktal/Isarco Valley. The restaurant “Liftstüberl” which is run by our brother Karl is connected with our farm.
Today we are a greenland business with livestock and milk-production. We keep cows and calves of our own breeded black-coloured “Holstein” race.
Together with our parents Sepp and Moidl and our children Gabriel and Florian we work the meadows and fields. And we keep small goats, cats, rabbits and chicken on our farm, too.
There is a small mountain pasture on the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi at the “Wiedner Egg” that belongs to our farm. It is near the “Rauchhütte”.
In summer our livestock is brought up to the Comunity pasture, the Ochsenwald, at Saltria on the Seiser Alm.
